Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester's 15th Annual Golf Tournament Raises $40,000
Mt. Kisco, NY (October 8, 2009) –The fifteenth annual Golf Tournament for the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester was held on Monday, September 29, 2009 at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, NY. The outing was a huge success, raising $40,000 for the Club. Proceeds generated from the tournament go directly towards the Club's programs and annual scholarships.
Players enjoyed a day of fun on the links while supporting a great cause. There was an awards presentation during dinner, along with a silent auction featuring golf foursomes, sports tickets, a stay for two at Stowe Mountain Lodge, and a chance for a lucky child to be a "Ball Kid" for the New York Knicks. Guests were offered hand rolled cigars from La Casa Grande Tobacco Company and a scotch tasting sponsored by Mount Kisco Wines & Spirits featuring the scotches of Compass Box Whisky Company.
Entergy, a longtime supporter of the Club's annual golf tournament, was this year's Platinum Sponsor. Gold Sponsors included Allstar Marketing Group, Cuddy & Feder LLP, and Rick Talmadge & Karen Ward. O'Connor Davies Munns & Dobbins, LLP was a Bronze Sponsor. Hole Sponsors included Answer Vending Inc., DRSW Insurance, Hickory & Tweed, Ronsco, Inc., South Eastern Farms, LLC, Wayne Fazzinga & Co., and Wilson & Son Jewelers. The tournament's Hole-in-One Sponsors were BMW Mt. Kisco and Wilson & Son Jewelers.
Brian Skanes, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester, said that he is pleased with the tournament's outcome. "We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, golfers, and donors who believe in us and support what we do for the youth in our community. Together with our hard-working golf committee, they have made this year's tournament a great success."
The 2009 Golf Tournament Committee was chaired by Robert J. Levine and included members: Steve Alvarado, Philip Bronzi, Lou Claytor, Bruce M.
